The best lived TV broadcast for SEA Games 2009


The lived tv broadcast digital system, which is to use on Olympic in Beijing this year, will be operational on the 25th SEA Games in Laos in 2009.

“This is the first of SEA Game that digital system is to be applied,” Director of the Phetchampa Advertising Company, Mr Khammoui Keomany who is operational the project along with other company said on Tuesday.

The digital television lived broadcasting system was initially applied at Sydney Olympic in 2006 to transmit the signal to hundred countries around the world.

All three Lao local televisions will be given a right to broadcast the sport event without pay the company, unlike international television, he adds.

The event will be broadcast live on television in Laos, to many countries in the South East Asian and around the World.

The Lao Brewery Company, the Phetchampa Advertising Company and the RS International Broadcasting and Sports Management Company from Thailand held the signing to cooperate the broadcasting in Vientiane recently.

The Lao government consulted with a neighbouring country China with regard to the construction project for the indoor stadiums and the new national football stadium in Vientiane. Two countries are building the stadiums and the football stadium will be used for the opening and closing ceremonies of the games.

Many sports will be broadcast on television, swimming, track and field, bowling, boxing, taekwondo, wresting, wushu, judo, shooting, football, badminton, archery, table tennis, tennis, volleyball, golf, karatedo, sepak takraw, snooker, traditional boat racing, Muay Lao, petanque and pencak silat.
